My name is Toulouse and I hunt crustaceans, looking for crawfish in their
aqua habitations. Louisiana is my hunting ground, 'cause this is the place
where mud bugs are found. Crawfish can be just a little slippery. They
escape your net, just like Harry Houdini. And when they get away, I always
hear them say, na na na na naaaa.
Good as I am, I know I'm not the best hunter in the east, the south or the west. But I know what I like, and I like crawfish, especially when - they're on my dinner dish. Then one day, I was in the mood for stuffin' my face with Lou-Z-ana food, but my fear that day was to hear the crawfish say, na na na na naaaa. Like my dad and my grandfather too, we have hunted crawdads here in these bayous. When it comes to hunting and catching crawfish, to be a better hunter was my number one wish. Then one day I was hot on the trail, following tracks made by crawfish tails. I didn't see a-one, but I did heard them say, na na na na naaaa. Crawfish have got quite a southern reputation. When it comes to food, they're a tasty sensation. If you try them too, you will know what I mean, and you will be a part of the Lou-Z-ana scene. For a hunter I am a pretty skinny guy, but I wouldn't be this way if I had my crawfish pie, and I know they're around, 'cause I always hear them say, na na na na naaaa. One day I thought I would play a little hunch. This could be the day I would have my crawfish lunch. I scooped real deep, and in my net I saw a little crawfish wavin' his little crawfish claw. He said I'm so small, please let me go and you can catch me later, if you'd only let me grow, so I turned him a-loose, and then I heard him say, na na na na naaaa. My name is Toulouse and I remember when, I use to hunt for crawfish, but never again. I never want to hear another crawfish say, na na na na naaaa. |
