Louisiana wetlands are full of little critters. Little paws and fuzzy feet - go
pitter patter pitter. They crawl and slither, swim and hide while others fly and
dive. That's how they do the Swaaamp Stomp!
Little Armadillos - under weeping willows come out in the night to get an evening bite. If they get a scare - they jump up in the air. That's how they do the Swaaamp Stomp! You can find a water snake in a swamp or lake. And the way they slither - just might make you quiver. Gracefully they slide for a new place to hide. That's how they do the Swaaamp Stomp! In the water crawfish - go backwards with a swish. It's a crustacean - at a picnic celebration. Their little tail lets them - do a backward swim. That's how they do the Swaaamp Stomp! Families of raccoons - no strangers to the moon, with mask and banded tails and little finger nails. Curiosity takes them up and down the trees. That's how they do the Swaaamp Stomp! Pelicans fly high and dive down from the sky. They always get their wish, scoopin' up a tasty fish. That was just a snack - and he will be right back. That's how they do the Swaaamp Stomp! How bees make their honey - it seems a little funny. Workin' in their hive is how they survive. The worker bees are workin' - around the dancin' queen. That's how they do the Swaaamp Stomp! Alligators love to eat fuzzy things with feet, and lying in the sun is there way of having fun. The alligator dances for reptilian romances. That's how they do the Swaaamp Stomp! Possums climb up trees - to see what they can see. They hang down by their tails and hope it will not fail. Sometimes they play dead to save their possum heads. That's how they do the Swaaamp Stomp! The Swamp Stomp is the way of survival every day. The search for food is tough - it can be a little rough. They crawl and slither, swim and hide while others fly and dive. That's how they do the Swaaamp Stomp! |
